Social Entrepreneurship - Local Identity and Knowledge: Main hall of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO)

The Consulate General in Geneva is pleased to sponsor the exhibition of texts, images, videos and artworks showcasing Brazilian creative initiatives in support of the development of autonomous handcraft communities in rural areas of Brazil.
The exhibition highlights art and design projects from poor communities in the interior of Brazil, as well as from indigenous Venezuelan women refugees in the northern region of the country and artisans from São Tome and Principe. Initiatives which enhance national craftsmanship are important contributions to improving the living conditions of fragile communities and are in line with the aim of the first Sustainable Development Goal of the United Nations - the eradication of poverty.
