The fabric made in manual loom rescues traditions and lives.

The fabric made in manual loom with dyed cotton yarns fades more easily than the industrial one, this is not considered a defect, it’s a way for it to tell its own story.

The manual loom is executed by Maria Auxiliadora, from Santa Edwiges weaving, and the dyeing is the result of the work of Maria Santa, both part of the group of artisans amaria.muzambinho .

With simplicity and patience, courage, force and willingness Mayumi Ito returned from Japan and has decided to dedicate herself, from body and soul, to a work of recover and valuing not only the traditional craftwork found in Muzambinho but mainly the life of so many marvelous artisans whom no longer saw a reason to keep such kind of art.

Teaching that nothing should be discarded, that everything is important and that REMAINING is the big secret behind results Mayumi in the last 12 years has uncovered, rediscovered and constructed a new life, a new view and a new rebirth of the true value of simple things and of the stories of our lives.

The inspiration to create the Memory collection was strongly born after meeting Mayumi, Muzambinho and its artisans.

The beauty of the fabric work made by Mayumi's mother, known as cathedral window, was the basis for the creation of the Brazilian walnut (Freijó) solid wood boards, intertwined with handmade fabric and cotton threads dyed with fruits from the artisan's orchard.

The composition of the furniture represents the highs and lows of such moment, the passage of time, the recovery of childhood memories, the desire to be part of a greater story, of remaining to produce fruits and flowers.
